Hi how easy is it to change the alternator on vrs tsi. From what i can see is 4 bolts remove the cannister at the side of it but there doesnt seem to be alot of room??

Reason i ask is the battery died while i was in hosp over 3 weeks. Recharged the battery but now the alternator isnt charging only 12.05 when running at 2500rpm so guessing its toast.

More likely that the battery has died a death and won't accept a charge. Its Capacity will also be very low.

 

 

Had the aa out and they've said its the alternator. Ive got 1 bein fitted 2moz by a m8. Might get a new batt as well  as ive no idea how old it is .   Thanks for the reply tho
