the pipe on the right is from the expansion tank still not worked out the other one although it fits a connection above the intake manifold

Is this a guess the engine these are for picture quiz?   Or know the engine from seeing the pipes?

Left one is purge valve. Connects to intake manifold and to a pipe from the charcoal canister at back of vehicle,  probably comes up with fuel pipes?

are all connecters different in the engine bay I have found one above the inlet manifold that it fits

  This is located between the vent line and the throttle. The EVAP purge valve is located next to the coolant expansion tank, disconnect the plug and test for continuity, if the valve is open circuit then you need a new one, if not there may still be a wiring fault to the valve.
