anyone? a picture would be good if someone as them fitted?

Apologies for the delayed response - didn't spot your message until now.

I agree that the instructions are pretty unclear. Fitting these should take about half an hour but because of the instructions it took two goes totalling two hours!

No drilling required.

I'm not near the car right now but from memory, you have to remove some of the screws that are already on the car so that you can slot the metal clip behind some plastic covering (also on the car already) - there is a little valley around a predrilled hole in the metal work where the clip goes.. I found that the easiest way to get the right angle to be able to slot it on was to lie on the floor approaching the vehicle from the back.

Hope that helps.

Are mudflaps strictly necessary? I was wondering as I do find it strange that the car doesn't have them by default.

I suppose depends on the type of driving and your location.

I'm in the west of the  UK and I find the roads dirty most of the time from the rain. Then we also go camping. The shape of the car means that all that muck goes up the sides behind the rear wheels (I don't have them at the front, only the rear).

Why don't they come as standard? Cost saving I suspect.
