How do I remove the rear seats in a fabia vrs

Featured Replies

i fancy giving my seats a good clean and it will be easier to remove the rear seats do it, i can get the seats you sit on ok, but I cant manage to get the backrest out, anyone explain how to get them out, I can see a small catch but cant seem to budge it. I wont be taking out the front ones on the rears, any tips on getting the rear seats out.

On the rear wheel arch is a bracket which holds the outboard seat pivot pin in place. The silver clamp part of the bracket has a slot moulded in it. Using a flatblade screwdriver in the slot, rotate the bracket to expose the pin. Then the seat lifts out.

Well it would do if the third seat belt wasn't fitted. You'll need to undo the anchorage (17mm or 19mm socket, forgotten which) to release the end of the belt so you can remove the seat.

thanks

The first time don't be afraid to really pull them hard off the pins. Mine have been in and out my car so much now, they slide easily off the T. :D

You wont put them back in

Why not?

Why not?

Less weight. Makes braking more fun aswell especially if you have 312s.

You could always just fold them to save weight tho...LOL
