Aux-in

Featured Replies

Hey,

Recently bought a Yeti 2.0 TDI CR SE 5d 2011/60. Trying to connect my I-phone via the aux-in which sits in the arm rest.

When I plug it all in the Aux button on the Belero system is greyed out. Should I be able to play from my phone via the Aux-in?

Thanks

Craig

From memory (because I no longer have the relevant car), there may be an option to enable or disable the aux input buried in the settings, which greys out the button if disabled.

The input is audio only - you won't be able to control the phone via the car screen.

Thanks Zip,

I have been digging about but cannot find anything in the settings. I have found another thread that mentions a blue tooth adaptor that connects in the the Aux. will look to get one. I only want to play from my phone.

My car had a simple Blues radio CD player which had an AUX on it's rear but wouldn't work until I enabled it with an OBD11.

Bought the necessary cable from eBay and fed that from a Bluetooth adapter so I didn't have to actually plug the phone into anything.

Since replaced with an Android head unit.

Cheers. Will look in to getting one. Which Android unit did you go for?

I got a Grundig GX-3800, the compelling reason being that my son works in the car parts sector in Australia so got it while I was there in 2023 it at trade price on top of which I was able to reclaim the 10% purchase tax on leaving OZ!

I seem to recall that the retail price was $630AUS (currently ~£320) but ultimately I only ended up paying around half of that.

I fitted it myself and It's a decent enough unit which serves the purpose well enough, I'd have paid more for some no-name tat from Amazon or eBay.
