New engine needed…

Featured Replies

So my 2019 Euro 7 2.0tdi engine is seized.

Any idea where I can get a second hand replacement / rebuild (if a rebuild would be cheaper)

Thanks.

You get complete engines on ebay.  BUT, not Euro 7 ones.

So long story short, why or how did your engine seize?

Who is going to fit the Replacement engine and do they not know where to get ones?

?

You might get Rebuilds near where you and the mechanic are, but then we do not know where that is in the UK.

Up in the North West. Mechanic is trying everywhere to get a replacement but having difficulties due to the engine being so modern.

I used Proxy Parts. Search by engine code.

Do you mean euro6d? I didn’t think euro 7 exists yet?

I purchased mine from Van Gils Automotive ( sourced via ProxyParts), a DHFA Diesel engine for a 2020 Model.

You need to search by engine code. It's the only way.

Thanks. So it’s a DHFA code?

You need to check, you can find your engine code as the 4 letter prefix to the engine number on your V5 registration document - it is also often on a label on the B pillar.

Is the probable reason for engine seizure known - was it seriously overheated or run without oil?
