Front Left Suspension Damage VRS MK2

Featured Replies

Its been while since i posted my car has took some damage, i basically ran over a brick on the Left hand Tyre then clipped a kerb & nearly a lampost on the RHS at approx 30mph

All the main damage is on the LHS and steering related . My own garage says the first part on here highlighted is on back order and can only be acquired from the main dealer. Does anyone know where i can get one from quicker?

This quote below is from the 'APPROVED REPAIRER' who is on insisting through (Quotemehappy) AVIVA that the Power Steering is also changed + one alloy. This quote is being used for guidance only. Most of the items on here do need replacing which i can get  a lot cheaper at my own garage just struggling on the first part. As he wants to get started whilst i am on holiday at the weekend. thanks

Can you message me with VIN or reg plate?

Looks like left driveshaft part number is 6R0407763E currently. Secondhand via ebay may be best bet for a quickish result.

Hi Pete Many thanks for this...

im assuming its the single part below not the Leg needed (unless this would save cost)

Yep, just the shaft, unless there are other bits on the whole leg that might come in useful?

Will take pictures of both to the garage tonight see what he says actually is damaged.

Might be an added complication in that ive got AP coilovers fitted with drop links which i might need to go back to the original springs... (from my project build thread)

thanks for info most helpful having the codes
