Cyl 2 misfire

Featured Replies

Looked into this today on the motor, seems that there was a tracking issue (may even be cracked) with the plug, Genuine VAG plug been fitted for 7 months, may need to alter my maint schedule to change on a 6 monthly basis

That looks like this plug is defective. It happens, but at most requires inspecting when/if you have a misfire rather than replacement of plugs every 6 months.

Unusual to see an NGK fail like that. Champion and others YES. I would get another set and monitor it. Chances are it won't happen again. Hopefully its just the plug and not the coil pack etc. You could always take it back to where you got the plugs or contact NGK they might send you some for free?
