New car day

Featured Replies

I was lucky enough to take delivery of this yesterday and so far after putting 110 miles on it already I can say without a shadow of a doubt that it’s a far more comfortable, and more importantly, relaxing drive than my manual Karoq SportLine ever was.

Looking forward to a few road trips in it now 😁

Snap! Same colour and so forth!

Picked ours up Saturday, clocked up 200 odd miles of varied driving.

Happy as a sandboy.

The ACC takes some getting used to, first car with any form of cruise control.

Could you tell me if you have the virtual pedal boot opening gizmo and how you are getting on with it?

So far so good, it’s very relaxing to drive compared to the manual Karoq I traded for it and and has more than enough gadgets to keep me amused.

I haven’t tried the ACC yet, that’s next on the list to try.

I didn’t opt for the powered tailgate on this one but had it on my previous Karoq, the ‘trick’ I found to getting the virtual pedal to work was to do a slowish, deliberate kick under the centre of the rear bumper and then immediately step back. I found if I didn’t step away the boot wouldn’t open which I assume is a safety feature.

Have you looked on your digital certificate in the Skoda app? That should list all fitted features so the virtual pedal should be mentioned there.

Cheers!

Will try wafting my size tens around then.

As for is it fitted, the software has the ‘easy open’ option and I have ticked that.

It’s our first new car in 22 years so all the software options are new to us.

The build sheet lists electric boot.
