Using a phone

Featured Replies

This may seem like a daft one but ....

I very rarely use a mobile phone but I had occasion to today and it had me wondering.

As I had the phone set up to use Google Maps through Android Auto I also need to make a call, which I did with success but I was struggling with the physical thing of .... where do I speak to?

Where in the car is the 'microphone' element towards which I direct my voice?

Obviously the voice on the other end comes through the car speakers but it had me feeling stupid when I didn't know what direction to speak in.

There ... told you it was a daft one!

🙄

Don't worry the mic will pick up your voice, presumably you are parked up with engine off so less noise in the cabin.

Thank you both.

Sounds logical.

Don't do what the bloke behind me was doing, looking toward the roof lining talking, instead of eyes on the road !
