Digital dash question.

Featured Replies

Getting to know my Sportline plus,

The digital dash is great, but one thing I can't work out is if there's a way to reset the trip computer without going through the vehicle status menu as there's no manual button like on the analogue dash.

Any tips would be great.

Thanks

Don't think so. (Or I didn't find one)

This is really a pain as I like to reset after every fill so I can track the tank to table economy with fuelly.

I know I could just enter the milage and the app works out the distance since the last fill but I also like to know if I've passed the 1100km mark as a bit of a driving challenge...

Cheers Gabbo,

Exactly why I was asking, I also like to reset after each refill, especially as I'd like to do a comparison to my old Sportline.

I also like having the map in the center, so it also means a menu change before finding the trip counter to reset it.

What's the app your referring too?

It was a typo...

Fuelly was the old app that I used to use on my Octavia 2014.

I use Fuelio now as recommended by several people from the Octavia forum.

Isn’t there a setting to do with automatically resetting it on refuelling?

Still on the MIB on Car Settings rather than the dash but it could be automatic?

There's a slightly shorter way via the steering wheel controls. On the right-hand side use the "<" key just below the roller knob to select the central menu in the display, and use the roller to move to Driving Data (some name like that). Click the roller & somewhere in there will be a "reset to zero" option that just requires you to press & hold the roller button. Sorry to be vague, I'm not in front of the car right now & it will depend a bit on what way you have the virtual cockpit set.

It's still a faff, not as easy as a simple push button, but slightly easier than ploughing through menus on the main screen once you get the hang of it. The curse of the touchscreen strikes again!

No, actually is very funny that they have designed the system to "remember" the refuelling because that is what the trip computer for fuel usage and driving stats is using, but no option to reset automatically the partial odometer.

This said, I have found no car that does it, yet.

I remind myself to do it manually after each refuel, but I sometimes forget, especially because the ACC info takes over the odometer ....

I will try the tip of Steve above😀

I know what you mean with this, but I'm on about the trip milage at the bottom of the display you can reset yourself.

Ah ok - sorry! 😬

Switch to driving data view - then the trip selection and you can reset the trip by pressing the rh steering wheel button (the screen says press 'OK' to reset)
