Skoda Finance PCP

Featured Replies

I am just weighing up the options of then my finance agreement comes to an end in Feb 2027, i know still a way to go. I have never had a PCP before.

if I just hand the car back does that mean all i have put into it is lost? i think by then i will have paid about £15000, also if you trade in for a new model your stuck with another Skoda but i dont really want another, can you just p/x with another manufacturer?

I could just pay off the final payment so i can sell the car I guess but I think by that point the car wont even be worth that much, but i will check at the time. i did think of making some overpayments on car now but that could be just more wasted cash going into a car I doubt i will own.

If there is a final "balloon" payment then generally, yes you can hand the car back and walk away or pay the balloon and the car is yours. There will be a deal on offer when the PCP comes to an end for sure. Until then just enjoy the car.

You can P/X anywhere. You’re not stuck with the brand at all. If you just hand it back, then yes that money is gone. Lost? I’d not say so - you used the car all that time.

Best wait until nearer the time before deciding what to do. You could pay the balloon and sell it but, the Scala isn’t a particularly desirable model so you may not find many buyers.

Thanks for the advice,

Regarding money lost i meant with the 10k deposit I paid for car and 3k in rentals when the agreement is finished, handing the car back and having nothing seems a big hit to me even if I have had use of car for 3 years. Guess that's just life.
