had a bit of a washer wipe prob, thought it was the stalk, turned out some corrosion in the fuze box got the auto electrician to look at it. However in doing so we now have an airbag light on I assume we have done something to the wiring, and it's mot day tommorow we have a good fault reader snap-on at work, should that be able to clear the code any advise would be appreciate the car is a 2004 fabia htpe

Don't suppose the steering wheel was removed. Maybe the connection to the spiral cable? Try and resetting it and see how long it takes to come on again. Might be long enough to get it through MOT. I disabled mine on an old toyota by unplugging crash sensor/airbag control unit with battery disconnected and the light went out.
