No it isn't; it's several symptoms that you've presumed are separate problems.

The boot lock is basically neglect since 2010.

The other issues are almost certainly basically all symptoms of a broken wire in the driver's door bellows.

Thank you .I have noticed that the little red light on top of the drivers door card is no longer flashing and when The drivers door is open it doesn't show on the dashboard

Ok, I was already 95% you had a broken wire in the driver's door bellows, and it's now over 99%. If you don't feel confident to fix it yourself, look for an auto electrician near you, and give him each symptom as a separate item.

Apart from a broken wire in the bellows, if the red door open icon on the dash is not showing when the driver's door is open, then it is the common problem of the door-open microswitch in the door lock having failed.

Hi @Paws4Thot would you be so kind to explain where the actual location is on the broken wire in the driver's door bellows, and is it just a case of removing the drivers side door card to access this in the bottom of the door well and fix the broken wire(s), and any particular colour to fix or is it just a case of fixing the wires that you notice that are broken and no longer connected?

Then could I please explain my problem with my central locking and alarm that works fine most of the time but occasionally I will go the car and what I usually do is press the key to unlock my car but it no longer works, this is an intermittent fault, and the central locking will not unlock on the key fob, the only way to open the car is by using the actual door key in the lock, I do not think it is anything to do with the car key battery either but I could be wrong. Then when I am inside the car there is initially no dashboard lights either, and I press the key fob again and the ignition on and off and eventually the dashboard lights all come back on. What I have also noticed when this fault occurs is that I lose the correct time on the dashboard and radio as well. I trust this help you and others to support me if what you believe could be the issue with Skoda Octavia vRS Diesel hatchback, 2007. If any other details are required then please let me know, this is such a strange intermittent fault that would occur about 5 times a week I would say.

In addition, if I have the widows slightly open and put the alarm on and deadlock the car, the alarm goes off after about two minutes is the normal because I have my windows open slightly? Many thanks to everyone who can contribute to my issues and questions in this excellent Skoda forum.

@JACK007 You haven't given sufficient detail to say that the broken with is $colour and only that one colour. You need to continuity test the wires to confirm which one(s) are broken.

Intermittent faults are exactly that, intermittent. You can't test for them and expect them to stay broken for evermore until they do.

Any yes, leaving the windows open will cause the volumetric alarm to activate intermittently.

@Paws4Thot

Thank you, then once it fails completely is when it can be fixed much easier, many thanks
