Good day fellow Skoda owners. This question may have been asked many times before, therefore please excuse the uneducated.

I own a Fabia Comfort 1.2 HTP, 2003 vintage.

Very recently the oil change reminder flashed up on the console so I took the vehicle to my local oil & filter change shop. The vehicle was delivered to me

and all was well or so I thought. The oil change reminder is still flashing for 3 minutes.

Is there a way too reset this manually or do I have to take it to

the nearest Skoda dealer and ask them very politely to do the same.

Any help you can offer will be most appreciated.

If not too distant from your home, I'd suggest taking it back to the garage and politely request them to finish the job you paid for.

Not sure if service interval reset is same for Mk3 Fabia - but you could try the following -

  • With ignition off, press and hold odo reset button/s (two fingers on Mk3).

  • Switch ignition on but don't start engine while still holding odo reset buttons. NB - edit.

  • Continue to hold Odo reset buttons until 'Reset oil service' message appears, release button then press again to reset. The same process applies to resetting the Inspection interval.

  • Switch ignition off.
