Dealer wants to change DSG DQ400E oil filter - is it possible?

Featured Replies

Hello,

I have a Skoda Superb 3 PHEV (MY2020) with a DSG DQ400E gearbox. It has about 38500 km and I read that it is recommended to do an DSG oil change every 60000 km or 5 years. Today, I have asked a local dealership for an estimated cost for this maintenance, and I was surprised to see they're going to charge me for an oil filter change (OEM code: 0GC325183D).

From my research, I understand that the oil filter can be changed only if you actually take out the gearbox and the manufacturer recommends to do that only if there are other problems with the gearbox.

Can you please share some specific details about how the DSG oil change should be done for this gearbox? I'm really afraid at this point to take my car to a dealership without actually knowing and confirming if what they're going to do is actually safe or not.
