Window Trim falling off Sportline

Featured Replies

Hey Folks. Had my Enyaq for 11 months now. It's a 73 plate Sportline 80x in black.

Had the car in the dealer yesterday getting the alignment done after fitting 4 new tyres.

On the way home both sides of the black trim near the door mirror fell off. One came off on the motorway and is long gone and the other started coming off, but luckily I managed stop off the motorway and save it. It was literally just hanging on with the very last mm of sticky tape.

Anyone else had this or seen it? Im going to speak to Skoda on Monday. Car is less that 2 years old and the trim is coming off. It's only stuck on with double sided tape. They washed the car at the dealer for me picking it up, I wonder it it was power washed or some degreaser was used. No idea why the trim would fall off.

I've attached a picture for you all to see what I am talking about.

This is my 7th Skoda and never had anything like this.

I have the same issue on my karoq sportline. The dealer is claiming I must have caught the trim aanzit is impossible to get damaged otherwise. I am seething….

My dealer said i must have drove home at 200mph to cause that.

However I took it in and showed them. They have agreed to replace both sides under warranty. Parts are in and just need a date to go in to have them changed.

I think they power hosed the car as it was clean when I got it back. Likely angled the lance wrong for the small trim pieces.

I drove at 75mph and that’s the only thing that could have caused it. They say it is impossible for it to lift and basically accuse me of causing the problem. I am so so annoyed.

Bit late to this but mine came off too. I did manage to catch it before it made a a complete bid for freedom. I just stuck mine back down with new tape.
