KESSY and ADAS random faults in 2025 vRS

Featured Replies

I have a five month old (2025) Octavia vRS with run in miles.

The keyless entry system has just locked us out of the car. The boot hatch and the petrol cap unlock but not the doors. The manual key unlocks the passenger door only and after climbing across the centre console and wrestling with drop down menus I got the car started and drove home but nothing would unlock the remaining doors. the Error list shows multiple ADAS messages, an "error: Drive System" message and even a stop start error. Got the car home called SKODA assist (the AA where we live) and when they arrived an hour later and tried the key everything had reset and was working again (By the way it seems that VAG won't allow them to use the OBD port for diagnosis). We have been onto the main dealer. Lots of head scratching but no solutions yet.

Before this we also had random ADAS errors and were assured by the dealer that a software update would fix that.

So has anyone:

*experienced anything similar

*have any theories as to what is happening (which control modules, software or hardware etc.)

*things to check

*best follow up approach with SKODA

Hopefully for SKODA this isn't common but if anybody has input I would be grateful.

By the bye this is our 4th Octavia and 3rd vRS (Mk2 and MK3 previously)

I don't know what errors my Octavia (2023) showed, but the dealer replaced the door locks under warranty.

I hadn't noticed any problems myself, but during maintenance the dealer informed me about some errors and asked me to come back in a week for warranty repairs.
