Cambelt replacement on 2.0

Featured Replies

My 2.0 Fabia is just over 4 years old now and done approx 22K miles. It's due an annual service in a couple of months time.

I think I've decided to get them to change the cambelt for peace of mind, should I get the water pump done at the same time with this kind of mileage?

Any rough ideas what Skoda dealers charge for cambelt change?

cheers.

I'd do the water pump, then its done.

Expect to pay around £300.

Thanks, is there a belt tensioner on this engine? worth changing or ok with that mileage?

Yep there is a tensioner and it should be changed.
