Radio reception

Featured Replies

Hiya everyone

I drive a Skoda superb estate 2021 which I am really happy with I have had the vehicle for just over 1 year

The only thing I am not happy with is the radio reception it’s very poor can anyone out there advise me what to do

Hi , can I assume that you are talking about DAB+ reception.

I love in the Worcester area and I find the similar problem : My previous car was a Mercedes C207 that had a Harmon Kardon system fitted.Locally the black spots are terrible with the system.in my model year 2019 Skoda I had the black spots issue in my Mercedes in exactly the same locations.

From my experience I don't that DAB+ radio is an enjoyable experience

Thanks for the advice

Do you by any chance have a 12v to USB power converter added anywhere, perhaps to feed a dashcam? I've heard many stories about cheap Chinese-made converters producing interference that wipes out DAB/DAB+ signals. You may like to unplug anything ike that & recheck.

Not just cheap - my uncle was unable to listen to the radio with a rear dascam - even when using high quality cables with the ferrite cores, etc.
