Karoq boot not opening.

Featured Replies

Another Tuesday another issue. So today our boot lid has decided it doesn't want to open anymore.

Was fine this morning as I had to empty the boot as we were having a tow bar fitted. Was fine after I collected the car from the tow bar people as they went through everything with me. When I got it home I opened it to take out the box section they removed to fit the tow bar and it worked fine.

Came home from picking my son up from school and went to put some bits back in and nothing. It makes the sound the the switch or actuator is moving but won't open. The dash thinks it's open but it's still latched. Had to use a screwdriver in that little hole in the back of the boot lid.

Tried lubricating the latch and made no difference.

It's going into Skoda Friday anyway to look at this battery issue so they can look at this too.

Latch has failed and needs replacing. Awaiting authorisation from the Skoda warranty people then they will order the parts.
