Rear lights not working

Featured Replies

My windscreen broke

The guy who came to repair had to take the interior light out (the one above your head in the centre of the car). He told me he couldn't put it back as he couldn't connect the switch that you move sideways - he thought a part of it might need soldering on .The only consequence was that the inside light wouldn't work (apparently). I have the lightbulb symbol on my dash - same as this thread - https://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/483194-both-tail-lights-not-working/

I took my car to a garage to get it fixed and they are looking to order the parts. Apparently there is a part missing (from the bits the windscreen man gave me)

I was out driving tonight and my rear (red) lights don't work - the other lights all work fine.

I am assuming its a fuse like it was in the above thread.

I just went out and changed what I thought was the fuse but made no difference but its midnight so I will have another go tomorrow when I can think and see properly.

Can anyone confirm that if the interior lights are not working that shouldn't stop the rear lights working? But they share a fuse?

My fuse box is similar to the one in the link below (click link to see a proper photo) - does anyone know what symbol I need to look for?

Thanks!
