Hi i have a 2018 skoda octavia se L

sometimes the sat nav has a message saying can't load maps. i take the SD card out and put it back in and it loads them ok.

but now it sometimes loses the map while driving.

any ideas what this could be ?

It sounds like you have an Amundsen, have you tried putting the map SD card in the other SD slot?

Could try cleaning the contacts on the card

Card going bad Happens

Mine does that sometimes and I have to stop and start the engine. Occasionally I have popped the card out and given the contacts a clean with my sleeve. It only happens once every few months though

VW has integrated a CID query into the smaller MIB2 navigation systems, such as the Skoda Amundsen, which require an inserted SD card. This CID query is performed every time the system is started. Because it's software, it can unfortunately happen that the query is evaluated negatively.
