Yes, the Huawei P20 Pro supports Wi-Fi 5 GHz, and you can confirm your connection by checking your Wi-Fi network's properties in your phone's settings, usually under Settings > Network & Internet > Wi-Fi. To ensure your P20 Pro connects to the 5 GHz band, make sure that your Wi-Fi network has both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands enabled and that they have different SSIDs (network names).

Hi.. Well I tried again this morning and it's now working perfectly after LOTS of checks!!!

Only thing not working is my YouTube Music... Now it had stopped working before this... Any ideas what I can do.. It's opening but none of my saved music is there, only saying Downloads, which is empty.??

I have Unknown Sources checked on the Developer settings.

I use AAwireless with my JVC headunit, there's another thing you can check.

In your phone settings, search for Android Auto, you'll get a menu with a few options to tweak and a 'version' option right at the bottom. Tap 'version' repeatedly and you'll eventually get a notification that you've unlocked developer options.

Tap the three dots to the top right to get a menu popup where you can access developer optionsScreenshot_20250826-201554.png

Finally, at the top of developer options is a tick box to enable wireless connectivity

Just wanted to thank you again for all the help with those screenshots...I am an expert on Developer Options now...!!

if you dont have checked unknows sources, app wont even apply on AA display.

Sorted the Youtube Music. I realised that the Wireless connection in the car was cancelling out my data on my phone, so no texts, calls etc weren't coming through, also the Youtube wasn't loading either!

I found a fix and it is all sorted now , finally!!

Thanks again
