Hi, I've changed the battery in my key fob a few times but never had to sync before. Today I changed the battery (got a msg it was low) and it wouldnt work. Looked at the manual and it says there's a notch on the cover on the driver's side door to fit the key blade in to pop the cover off. I can see no notch and have now slightly damaged the paint. Does my model have this notch?

I changed the battery again and now it seems to work, but would like to know for the future - thanks for any input

Hello, welcome to the forum.

The notch is on the underside of the plastic cover trim (to rear of handle)

The alarm will trigger as you open door this way while the alarm is armed - so get ready to switch on ignition quickly!

Have a look on the passenger door handle (n/s) , that's where it is on mine - in the plastic cap at the end of the handle

OP location is Milton Keynes, presumably vehicle is RHD - so should be offside front door.

Thanks for your replies...checked and the passenger door does have a notch. Feeling pretty silly now!!! Thanks again
