Do I need beam converters on my headlights

Featured Replies

Hello. Drving to Germany via France and Belgium next month. First time I've taken the Superb out of the country. I am unclear whether the lights need beam converters or not (and I can't see anything in software to deal with it).

These are the lights in question:

Any help would be appreciated. I have all the other clutter that I need for driving over there (warning triangle, high-viz vests, snow chains, first aid kit, flame thrower, French and German Clean Air tags etc.)

Thanks

Those are reflector headlights for the FL base models so yes you do.

For the Matrix LED's on the FL SEL and above you don't.

Correct

In the “olden” days you could remove the back light cover and turn a lever up/down on both sides and jobs a goodun

I suspect it has this but no idea where

Just to confirm this is where you checked the travel mode

LED relfector headlights don't have that. The beam pattern is fixed so a beam deflector is needed to mask the beam kick.
