2021 Karoq 1.5 Lower Rear Bumper

Featured Replies

I've managed to damage the lower section of the rear bumper. It looks as though there are just a few screws holding it in place. Is this correct?

Many thanks

David

Hi David

Welcome to the club my car got damaged on the lower part of the bumper like yours but it's supplied as a complete bumper with a price to match £800 ish. It's about an hours job to remove and you need to remove the back lights (very easy to do). Unclip behind these then screws along bottom edge and remove some screws that attach the lower ends of the two rear splash guards. Then disconnect the fog light and n/s reflector and parking sensors and fit these onto new bumper.

As mine wasn't to badly damaged I just had a smart repair carried out !

Thanks Vulcan, however I've bought just the lower rear bumper from Euro Car Parts! I'll be investigating this weekend.

Wow every day is a school day just as a matter of interest is it painted and how much, hope all goes well Dave

Hi Dave,

Apologies for the delay in replying. In the end I decided - being 79 and living in a flat without work space, and having realised that it might be a little more complex than originally thought - to 'out source' the replacement. Found a small body shop who could do the job quickly. Very successful for £140 labour plus the £130 for the part. Well worth it!

Regards

David

Sounds like you backed a winner and that bumper was a very reasonable price.
