Airbag module error b2000

Featured Replies

Hi guys, I have a 2020 MK4 Škoda Octavia 2.0 tdi. Couple of days ago I started the car after parking for an hour and 10 errors popped up - start/stop, side assist, emergency assist, ACC, sos button error... Also the car didn't lock itself while driving and the auxiliary heater didn't work. I connected it to vcds and got a bunch of comm codes that couldn't be deleted. I tried accesing the airbag module but I couldn't.

Thenxi disconnected the battery for 10 minutes and turned it back on and none of the errors were present, but there was an airbag light. I could acces airbag module which stored 2 codes. I'll post them down below.

Does anyone have any idea what's going on? I couldn't find any useful info online. Thank you!

Hello, welcome to the forum.

The very first thing you need to do after getting numerous and seemingly random DTCs is test the battery for SOC and health condition.

HI, thank you! The battery is 2 months old and the health is at around 97%

Given the date, time and mileage stamp of the second (B2000 00) fault, I'd just have it cleared and see if it reappears. It may have been due to the battery disconnection.

Ditto for the U1123 00 DTC - although this one may indicate an issue with one or more of the ABS wheel sensors if it recurs.

I've tried clearing it via VCDS but it just doesn't go away - either vcds can't clear it or it just respawns instantly. I'll try through ODIS. Weirdly enough when going through OBDII option on vcds it doesn't report any DTCS.

I've also looked for abs data and it was normal, abs sensors didn't report any malfunctions.

Additional info

I don't know what was the actual error code. But I had the same symptoms and the garage said it's the faulty airbag module. It was exchanged under warranty.

Hey, thank you for responding. I think it might be the only solution so not much luck here as I'm out of warranty 😅 hope it doesn't strike my wallet too much!

I feel you. I was lucky that it failed when the car was still under warranty.
