Problem i cant fix

Featured Replies

I have a mk2 vrs estate and a little way back my drivers window stopped working so a friend who is a mechanic said its the window regulator. They didn't have part available anymore through tps or what not so ordered one of ebay but was a lhd one from romanina fixed the window but recently failed the mot because the indicator was indicating the wrong direction. So i put the other one in to sort the issue with indicator so it would pass mot but now windows don't work and the central locking is playing up. i have tried 3 second hand ones with the correct part number from the correct regulator but none of them work. Does anyone have any ideas what could be up? could it be comfort control module?

Thanks in advance

Might be broken wires/bad connection where they come through door hinge. Also read on here that someone had problems with window switch. Windows would go up and down using long press on fob but nothing from drivers door switch. They also had locking problems. A new switch cured the windows and for some reason also the locking.

Have a word with @Breezy_Pete , one of our forum members who also fixes window mechanisms. His work is good and affordable.

Thumbs up for Pete. Fixed my sons fabia regulator really quick. Got it back pretty near next day and was very reasonable

Thanks for the mentions guys.

I don't have any experience of mk2 Octy window/door modules, but always willing to try.

@mk2ian56 can you post photos of the items you've been trying, including the original item if poss?
