WARNING - Underground / Multistory carparks

Featured Replies

Just parked my Octy II hatch in the underground car park at my new office. Because of how big the boot is and how high the hatch lfts up it hit the rough ceiling and now has a load of scratches. Beware!

Time for the Scratchx again....

It is the same for the Mk1 :(

Its the same for opening the boot when parked under an open up-and-over garage door.

Morale of the story - "should have gone to Spec Savers"

I smacked mine on the roof lining of the channel tunnel train while opening the boot when my car was 2 days old!

Been there, done that, car was 2 weeks old!, luckily only chipped spoiler and was soon remedied with application of Halfrauds touch up kit, defy anyone to find it now!:D

.............defy anyone to find it now!:D

Is that a challenge? ;):D

On a slightly different tack, but coming under "care in handling" routine, my local service manager warned me to be careful how you lower the bonnet. On some, if dropped from a height, or if it slips off the prop, it can close enough off centre to hit the wing.

Same thing happened to me in Dublin Airport so beware when your traveling abroad.
