When I turn my stereo on, or restart my car when I've not switched the stereo off when I stopped the engine, the sound comes back on at a very loud level and then settles down to the level I had it set at after about 20 seconds.

Does anyone else have this issue? And does anyone know how to stop it?

My car does the opposite, when I start the car the radio comes on at a very low level, regardless of the level when it was switched off. Now that I’m used to it, it’s not a great problem. Just another “feature” of the car’s software!

There is a setting that lets you select the max volume when restarting the car. I guess it’s in case you’ve been belting out some heavy rock at a high volume when you turned the ignition off. Can’t remember where it is but I remember adjusting it when I got the car.
