Superb Mk iv Hybrid 12 volt battery.

Featured Replies

I know this is the wrong forum but there is not yet a Superb iv forum and I don't know how to create one. My question is when I charge my Superb hybrid battery, is the 12 volt battery also charged?

Hahaha! I just realised after making this post that this is the Superb iv forum as iv is Roman Numerals so Mk 4 it is. Nothing beats making a **** of yourself in public. My question above still stands though.

OK! But fits in nicely with the Mk 4 designation.

I'm still looking for the answer to my original question if anyone knows please.

When ignition Is On, the 12V battery charging from the HV battery.

When ICE running the 12V battery charging

When HV battery charging wih DC charger it also charging the 12V battery.

During AC charging it cannot charge the 12V one.

In case of Mk4 iV

You've right, it also charges during AC charging or whatever the BMS decides to do it so.

I mixed with the AC/Heating which doesn't works during the AC charging.

Ah - just to clarify the "AC"s ... are you saying the Air Conditioning/Heating doesn't work during Alternate Current charging?

That explains something I've seen on my 1.5 PHEV this week (I don't actually have a Skoda any more but it's still a VW Group car so I assume I have a very similar system). When charging from AC, I started the heating from the app but the charging then stopped.
