What tyres have you got.......any good?

Featured Replies

The time has come to get the front tyres changed on my Superb 225/45/17.... so what tyres have you got on yours?

Are they quiet?

are they lasting well?

do they grip well in the wet?

and most of all where from and how much ?

Any info welcomed as the ones on there at the moment are rubbish (kingstar) very noisy (whine) and no grip in the wet.

Thanks in advance

Try some Pirelli P7, very nice tyre. Very good alround and last pretty well too.

Hi Rob

The original tyres on mine were Bridgestone Turanza's. When the fronts needed replacing, we went for the same again, got the pair for about

eagle F1's all round with no complaints so far :)

Bengie & TaviaRS interested to know how much you've paid guys?

about £400 ish i think, maybe slightly over.

i know a guys that knows a guy that robbed a guy :P

joking by the way :)

£350ish, fitted :D

I was running Kumho's Escta 712's 20k miles, no problem. still loads left in them, and a good grippy tyre.

I got rid of my original Bridgestones when the front were 4mm down, and the rears less than halfway worn. They were total crap. Noisey, hard over bumps, awful in the wet and generally terrible handling.

The front now has Conti Sports2 and the rears Conti Sports. The car now handles so much better, has a smooth ride with no crashing felt and in the wet feels solid and secure.

Wear isn't an issue, safety is more important to me.

Interesting that you rate the SC so highly, I found them good in the dry but only 'ok' in the wet. Got some GY Eagles which are ace in the wet, but appear to take forever to scrub in properly.

Those bridgestones must be awful then

I might have to order them in from our local ATS .............(know someone who works there so can drop the price a fair bit) .....just looking for a bit of quiet, good grip in the wet and to last about 15,000 to 18,000 miles on the front of a Superb

The neros seem to be excellent but wear out quick....

Bridgestones I have had before and .......ummmmmm not good ...not bad.

michelin I had before and not too bad but expensive.

So it looks like Kumho's Escta 712's, Conti Sports2 or Conti Sports, goodyear eagle F1's /.......

This is beginning to look like a poll is needed

Bit of a side track, but I got 235/35/19 Uniroyal Rainsport tyres + RS8 alloys for only £800. Bargain when considering alot of you guys are paying £150 a pair for 17"s
