Any idea how much will this car repair cost ?

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

I'm about to buy this car for a very reasonable price. WOuld you care to guess how much will it cost to get the Left - front panel; left front door; left back door & left back panel replaced or mended. I've attached photos of the scratches for you to judge.

Basically the guy skid on ice and caused this damage to his car.

Please, any help would be appreciated.

The quotes for the parts given to me by a Skoda dealer (without labour) are as follows:

Left - front panel :

10239.attach

10240.attach

10241.attach

10242.attach

You would really need to get a quote mate.

Can you suggest a good Fabia specialist garage in London ?

Sorry I'm new to this country !!

Agree with Stu on that one, I would say it can all be taken out without replacing parts *but* you need proffesional advice from someone on the job before you part with cash mate. The worst bit for me would be the door.

Doesn't need to necassarily be a Skoda specialists garage mate, any decent bodyshop should be able to do this for you. Get a couple of quotes and see what happens :)

Welcome mate :)

I don't know one in London, no. I have a good friend who is the local Skoda Approved Repairer but it's not exactly local to you.

Your saving grace, should you decide to buy it, are that they appear to be all on the same side.

Yeah they are all on the same side. I feel like buying it coz I'm getting it for a bargain of 2800

i would say a decent amount of money to be honest mate, wouldn't surprised at £1500 - £2000 to get it all done properly by a garage.

as its metallic they would have to spray about half the car to get the match right then a good few hours to repair/replace panels.

definitly get quotes and brace yourself :)

Oh Blyme !

Any good body shops in London ... info most welcome !

might be worth the petrol to drive a bit out of london as it may save you a few quid. just a thought :)

i'd just buy it and drive it and not bother getting it repaired as it wont be worth much anyway when you come to sell it in say 3 or 4 years time and if your unlucky to get stitched up by a disreputable body shop with a poor job the repair could make it worth less than you paid for it , only my opinion though

Thanks Rico for your reply ..

I'm more worried as I do have to sell it in 1 years time; as I'll be relocating to a different country then!

Wonder how much does a 2002 Skoda Fabia - Comfort reduce in 1 year .. if I buy it for 3K now.

Prism Auto Body Repair in N17 did a fantastic job on my Fabia, for a very reasonable price too.

I dunno about the repair, but that's a very nice colour!
