Octavia MkIV 2024 - dashboard display - how to change?

Featured Replies

1) Up to recently, the dashboard display had never changed since the car was delivered: rev counter on left, speedometer on right and useful information in the centre (I call this the 'default' display).

2) Then a passenger was typing a destination into the sat-nav and the dashboard changed to a moving map of the car's location and direction.

3) I tried to reset it to the default but it changed to two square boxes: LH box with mileage data and the RH box with the channel that the radio was playing!

Please help:

A) How do I change the display to the 'default'?

B) If I want to display the moving map as in 2) above, how do I do this?

All replies greatly appreciated as I have to do at least 700 miles next week and 3) above will not be of any assistance to me, especially as some of the journeys will be on unfamiliar roads. I always found the 'default' to be very informative and helpful.

Thank you.

Sorry to write again on this subject. The rev counter on the left and the speedo on the right have disappeared, and scrolling using the arrow button on the RHS of the steering wheel doesn't bring them back. Any ideas, please!!!!!!!!

There are two buttons. The right hand one changes the style of layout and the l ft hand one cycles through the level of detail from full, medium to low. My guess is you are on medium or low which means the traditional rev counter and Speedo won’t display until you cycle to it with the left hand of the two buttons

Thanks, whippersnapper. I will try this tomorrow, after I've scraped the ice off the windscreen😁
