Hi there! Today I read on a magazine that Kamiq has, as the bigger brother of the Czech SUVs (the Kodiaq) the automatic door protectors that come out when You open the door: is it possible to retrofit this mechanism on Karoq too?

I have retrofited this feature on my Kamiq but it's an option on the vehicule, so, it's easy.

But on the Karoq, this option doesn't exist. The most difficult I think is to find the good shape for the protection rubber

I had these on a previous Kodiaq. An over enthousiastic car detailer decided to sponge dry the door frames and ripped one from the door. It never did refit properly. Personally, they're a waste of time and I suspect Skoda think the same - they're no longer an option on any Kodiaq model in the UK.
