Hi I’ve a 2014 Skoda Superb absolutely love the only problem I have when driving at night the dipped headlights are very poor almost non existent. The lens of the dipped headlights are opaque are they meant to be that way and what can I do to improve I’ve tried led bulbs but they haven’t made a significant difference.

Any help or pointers in the right direction would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Barney,

There are more than a few videos on the tube of you.

I did my old mk6 Passat a few years ago after watching a few of those videos, if you have a few basic tools it’s about 45 minutes out in the cold and your light will be greatly improved.

I used this guys method and used from 600 to 3,000 wet and dry.

If you wanna try quicker way use drill and soft polishing pad with farecla g3 etc

But if those are bad then sanding or new ones.

Have you got xenon or halogen headlights?

You say the lens is opaque, do you mean the front plastic cover of the entire headlight, or the glass projector inside the headlight?

I’ve halogen lights it’s the projector inside the light mate, my dipped headlights are really poor.i fitted led bulbs hoping that would improve things but to be honest it’s not really any better.

TYC headlights 80€ piece but i dont know is RHD versions more expensive.
