12v battery low

Featured Replies

Hello, my infortqinment screen shows sometimes that 12v battery low. I just changed new battery and battery control module which is in ground cable.

Also kessy not working and soc shows 0%

Then if i open the driver door and close it, then kessy is working and soc shows 90%

Is is possible that driver door wiring is broken or something. There is pics what are the only trouble codes

You need to code in a new battery. The battery voltage will remain low until you tell the BMS that it has a new battery.

I have coded it

Have you monitored the battery voltage under various conditions - ignition off, ignition on, just after starting, while driving several minutes after starting and while braking?

Those measurements will give clues whether the Battery Management System is working correctly.

I use something like this in the 12V socket LED Voltmeter USB

No, i have to buy that kind of voltmeter to 12v socket.

When i change the battery control module and i think it dont work it should, i recharge the old battery and code serial number from 1111111111 to 1111111112. And then i change the battery and code the serial number back to 1111111111. What lf it now thinks there is old battery again, is it better to change it to 1111111113

Okay - we need more information.

What make/brand and type of battery did you use? I tend to put in the model number of the battery as its serial number unless it has a serial number sticker on it.

Did you change the Ah charging rate?

You always need a unique and different serial number, so don't use all ones.....bad practice.

Yes, I think I can see the problem. Under Battery Manufacturer, please type in VAR (for Varta). EXI is not an approved value.

If your battery has a BEM sticker on it, then use that information.

There is a good video on the process at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IJAScg6JrYI

Okay thank you very much! I'll try that

How about this part, does it need coding because i changed it?

Was your original (old) battery an EFB or AGM? If EFB, did you change battery type in coding?

Provided the battery monitor module is the correct part it would not require coding.

AGM battery should be adapted (coded) into BCM as 'Fleece'

Yes, the old battery was agm and it coded to fleece

Had the original battery monitoring module gone faulty - or was it replaced simply as a precaution?

I change it just as a precaution

Hello! I check my driver door wiring and there was many wires which insulation was cracked. Is it possible that it can cause some fault that car thinks it drains power somewhere?

I also code a battery again so lets see if the battery low message disappears
