Hi there, I have have a weird issue with me vrs octavia 2006 ...

To start it has lights on the dash abs traction control steering wheel (amber) and tire pressure warning light ...

Used top don diagnostics bt800 comes up :

Abs front nearside

Steering angle sensor

Ecm 03 brakes 01314

The 3 codes that I cannot seem to shift

I have replaced abs sensor and checked the pickup in hub and all is fine cleared code drive 2 ft comes back on ..

Changed steering angle sensor after calibration failed recalibrated new sensor can't clean ..

Ecm 03 brakes 01314 not sure if this is the main issues does anyone have a soliyltion or had this issue before ?

Any help will be appreciated

Codes listed below

Abs isn't on there as tried to clear codes and didnt drive but its there !

May be a wiring fault to ECM or perhaps a failing relay. Did read that it could also be a fault stored in ECM that is affecting other systems. According to rosstech the fault within the ECM will have to be adressed before the fault codes on other systems can be cleared.

I understand... but i have changed all sensors being the fault so can't seem to pin point ... will check all wiring tomorrow from abs unit to ecm and ecu

If its not wiring then it could also be a problem with the steering angle sensor not being calibrated properly. If a manual reset doesnt work I read it may have to be done while driving and using obd11 or vcds which is a bit beyond me but someone on here will know.

Right update:

Changed sterring angle sensor and also abs sensor again, still have the abs sensor pass front coming on now 2 being faulty i can't see happening .. steering angle sensor is not coming up with degrees on old part or new calibration manual and through obdII have been done light doesnt come off...

This code for 01314 seems to be the main issue that is stopping me from clearing dtcs I have had a look over the wiring and can't see anything out of the ordinary contact cleaner on all pins and push fits im just really at a lost end ...

I brought the car cheap with the faults on dash and alternator not charging battery so changed the alternator and sorted the power issue its just this now ... I don't have vcds and I know garages will replace everything and be like didnt work here's your bill sorry can't help ...

If I cannot fix I will be parting the car out if anyone needs parts

Maybe someone on here near you has VCDS that could scan car for you to see if it pings up something that your scanner has missed. If thats the second abs sensor it may be the bearing/magnetic sensor ring thats causing problems. Try a multimeter on sensor I think it should be 800-2000ohms and a steady reading. Change to AC volts and spin wheel. If the sensor and magnet is working you should get varying voltage as wheel speed changes. Thats for a two wire sensor. Think its 0.5-1volt at low speed.

Right update, the 01314 code communication ecm issue is now fixed .. wouldn't belive but yhe original stereo had to be plugged back in to clear this code aftermarket stereo stops the calibration of steering angle sensor ???? Dont ask 😌

Completed steering angle calibration ... abs come back on cleared code no activity on yhe abs near side ... have ordered internal hub ring to see if that helps then complete another calibration

...

The radio is a weird one but I have read on here a couple of ttimes that some aftermarket radios were stopping OBD2 conecting to car. Doesnt make sense but at least you got it calibrated. Think someone mentioned it interfering with canbus but thats way above my level. Can you get a hub ring or is it a compete bearing?

Well done mate ! I have a p0642 low voltage circuit A...could be one of many sensors...strugling to find out what sensors are on this circuit or how many 😆 🤣 😂

Problem solved !!!

New wheel bearing with abs installed took off the stands started it up drove 4 yards and steering light off abs remained took topdon with me and abs off and diagnostic is reading steering angle sensor and abs sensors so now Christmas is over the dash decorations are off to 😆

Leopold72 try checking the alternator regulator wires as I had this code and replaced the reg and it didappeard
