Not everybody knows what you have put at the Brera and who can blame them as long as the information on jacking the car up is freely available and they know where to reliably find this information - hence the 'Owner's Manual'. Your Brera example means knowing assembly construction information too - and getting down on the ground to see if you can get your head under a car to see the holes.

A note on this, no need to be an engineer, you just need to squint hard enough and you will see factory jacking points. For me jacking up a car and using jackstands in a safe fast and reliable way is of paramount importance.

I always choose my method by jacking it up using a block of plywood on factory points and my hydraulic jack, and then place jackstands where the guy in the photo has placed them, but in the opposite direction, so the tongue drops into the jacking point, providing mechanical interlock.

For the rear, I use the factory scissor jack on the manual jacking points (1) and place jackstands on the factory assembly line points (2)

For the front, I jack up using my hydro jack on (1) with a 20mm plywood 10x10cm block and place jackstands on (2)
