Just wondering if anyone knows the correct name of this valve or the part number for a 2013 diesel 1.6 .

From the photograph it looks like that's just a push fit in the bracket. Pull it free and read the part number that will be printed on it somewhere.

Correct orientation. The air filter box is to the left. It's attached to the firewall. No idea what it's for though but hopefully someone does.

Part number from mine which is a 2014 1.6TDI. 1K0906627B @Breezy_Pete might be able to run it. A quick Google says turbo pressure solenoid valve.
It's got three what appear to be vacuum pipes. One runs to the air intake post air filter.

Looks like I was wrong about push fit.

Yes, part number same as Lee says - 1K0 906 627B "Pressure converter"
