Hiya everyone,

I have a 2015 Skoda Octavia. I've attached some photos below of the infotainment system. I'm at a bit of a loss at how to activate smartlink and update the unit. My local dealer is saying they don't have the means to do it and to contact skoda directly and skoda are saying speak to my dealer.

The dealer said that there might be an issue as the SW Train version is missing as per the photos.

Non-Nav version with 1 SD slot.

If anyone could help with either the latest update and/or activation steps i'd be much grateful.

Firstly, you need to get the firmware up to 0253 (latest for SOP2.x hardware); then you need to get the licences to enable up Carplay on your vehicle from the Skoda dealer. Though we couldn't possibly endorse, there are also people on here who say they can hack the MIB system to enable carplay, but you are kinda on your own there.

Ah amazing thank you. Do you happen to know where I could get 0253 from? Or would it be a dealer thing?

Haha thanks. Looks like it's having issues atm 502 bad gateway so guess I'll just have to wait.
