Update MST2 / caplay

Featured Replies

Hello,

we've picked up today a mk3 fabia (2014 66kw) for my wife and I don't know the first thing about skoda (or the vag group) when it comes to updates, coding and stuff, i'm more used to bmw...

I would like to ask for your help with 2 things :

  • how do I update the head unit ? Also where and which version to download ?

  • I'd love to enable carplay on it so my wife can have waze and stuff directly on the screen instead of having to check her phone

About carplay, i've seen these links which seem to be similar :

https://xyingly.com/products/carlinkit-wireless-apple-carplay-adapter-for-vw-volkswagen-golf-polo-tiguan-passat-b8-seat-leon-skoda-octavia-audi-mmi-mib-system?VariantsId=11769

I don' see the Fabia on them, and this seems to be the cheapest and best way to enable carplay I think. Also I do not wish to change the HU for and Android HU just yet, as it's more expensive and I don't want to loose the skoda OS.

I hope I can find the help I need here, thanks )

Unfortunately your unit does NOT support CarPlay at all, you have to replace at least infotainment reader. I can deliver such unit - pls let me know if you are interested so I caan share more info in PM.
