Digital service record

Featured Replies

Hi, I had my 73 plate Karoq serviced yesterday by a main dealer. I also had brake fluid changed. However, when I download the Digital Certificate I can see the entry for the service, but not for the brake fluid change. There is a 'Workshop Note' for yesterday but nothing to say what it was for.

Am I missing something, or do I need to get back on to the dealer to update it properly - I obviously want a proper record of any work done on the car

I’ve found the same thing, especially if it’s warranty work or you for a service plan. I asked for more detail about a warranty entry and the dealer service advisor printed off the invoice which listed the parts fitted which was what I really wanted to have a record of. If it’s work you paid for you’d have the full invoice.

Thanks Thamestrader.

I did get a paper invoice for the work I paid for, I just wasn't sure if the details should be on the digital record too. Seems a bit daft having some info saved digitally and the rest on old school paper invoices - but if you've had the same experience I guess that's just how it is!

Given all the BS I was fed by Skoda when I bought mine & the PDI wasn't shown, I have zero confidence in its accuracy. I bought a generic service log book from Ebay & will get that stamped. But then I'm unlikely to use a stealer for any servicing anyway.

I've done the same, any self respected honest garage will have no problem stamping the book and noting what work has been done.

The dealer I uses gives me a print off of the service history with each service, and that noted the brake fluid change at the second service. I think it's a print of from one of the VW/Skoda systems, it's not a dealer thing.

However it doesn't know that the car's first service, at 16mths old, was a longlife one - it just records it as an oil change service so looks like the car was serviced 4 months late. The dealer I bought it off did the first service and they insist it was the longlife one, with pollen filter change.

It does all seem to be a bit wishy washy when it comes to servicing, service intervals and paperwork

This is why I don't trust either the app or Skoda.
