DPF regen every 80kms

Featured Replies

Hi - I'm new to Briskoda so go easy on me please 😁 I own a 2011 Skoda Superb diesel estate (CFGB engine). I did a lot of searching but couldn't find an appropriate answer. I have the VAG DPF app and recently did an active regen (pic attached). After only 12kms of normal driving, the dpf soot load went from 21% to 32%. That's 1% per km!! Any ideas of a cause? Car has done 244000kms and full service history with regular low ash oil. No codes using OBDII. Cheers Adrian Screenshot_20260215-115319.png

Hi all - I'm still having the same problems with my 2.0L TDi (CFGB engine). Active regens every 70-80kms!! Car has had the emissions-gate fix. Photo attached of VAG DPF screen after my latest active regen. Anyone shed any light? Thanks Adrian

Hard to say, what sort of journeys are you doing ? (short/long)

Does the engine get up to temperature fully ?

My 2014 has the CFFB engine, the fix was applied by the dealer before I got the car (unfortunately!) but its been ok.

Used to get 220 - 240 miles between regens but this has dropped to 120 - 180ish depending on journeys.

I assume the shorter intervals must relate to gradual oil ash build up in the DPF.

No issues with engine temp. No codes either. Car does a variety of journeys (from town trips to Adelaide return - 4700kms).

It's the rate of soot production that I can't understand (256mg/km)

Get your injectors checked out. If they're failing soot production will go way up.
