Anywhere is cheaper than rip off Britain.

While in Germany see if you have find DTM fuel... Very high octane!

Diesel is dirt cheap compared to UK. VPower Diesel (or whatever it was with some non-standard thing) was cheaper in NL than Tesco's derv with 5p/liter discount in the UK.

From what I can see it looks like France is cheap on diesel, and so is CZ, so the ultimate money saving aim will be to tank up in Calais and fill 2 20 litre jerry cans too, which will see me to Prague, then tank up in Cz, have some fun, tank up on the way out, plus 2 20l jerry cans, and then fill up likewise at Calais area, and bring 40 litres into the UK. The ferry companies say you shouldn't, but f*** them. From what I've read they don't give a toss anyway.

Well, its good to see diesel in the EU is still below the cost of petrol. Looks pretty even prices between France, Belgium, Netherlands and Germany (using the above link) - all around 1.10 - 1.14 Euros per litre for diesel. I make that about 80p a litre still though.

Good idea on the jerry cans, however you will have to buy those in calais as they are prohibited on the tunnel/ferry wether they are full or empty.

Petrol prices in europe are very simillar to here, mostly due to the poor exchange rate with the €.

bit off topic maybe..but fuel down here the lowest i seen was 92p a ltr!!! at shell we was the lowest in the southwast for a few weeks at 94p a ltr

I drove over to Belgium for VW Mania last weekend and paid typically 1.11 Euros/litre for diesel and that was on the motorway services.

I heard jerry cans were banned on ferries as well, but apparently they turn a blind eye anyway.
