I've got a 1.0 TSI Technology and it's had the recent system update which went Ok, with the exception of having to reset the users etc. and has been fine since that was done a couple of weeks ago.

Today I started the system and it started to boot up with the usual 'Loading Settings' and spinning wheel. That normally only takes a few seconds but this went on for the whole 30 min journey to work. The same thing on the way home too, despite several reboots by holding the button down for 10 secs.

The Climate control works, as do the parking sensor displays and I can turn off the bloody annoying Lane Control and Start/Stop system but no radio, navigation or any other menus!

When switching off I get the message attached? I tried my wife's key when I got home and had exactly the same issues. Has anyone had similar and found a cure or is it just a glitch with the Skoda servers?

It's way out of warranty now and I'm extremely reluctant to pay main steeler prices and then have them shrug and say I need a new system.

If it's still like that tomorrow, you could try disconnecting the negative terminal on your 12V battery and leave it for 10 mins or so before reconnecting. if it's a bug that may well clear it. But it could be it's fine tomorrow, the bugs on these things are totally unpredictable. I had a similar issue to that once, but it didn't last for a long, just a lot longer than it normally would (the loading settings screen)

Had another one once where my car's time and date changed to 2047 or something 😆 I can laugh now, wasn't laughing at the time though... 😒

Thanks for the suggestion. I've subsequently found (by accident!), that when you turn the ignition off I can access all the normal menus, but as soon as the ignition is turned on, it's back to the 'loading setting' screen. I did some more digging on the internet and it does seem to be a common issue to do with the head unit not communicating with the SOS module and I'm guessing therefore the internet/Skoda servers. Many find that removing the fuse No.19 for a bit does a proper hard boot and often resorted the connection. Others do as you've suggested and disconnect the battery to achieve the same thing.

I'll give it a go later tomorrow and report back!

Hi, I had similar issue after OTA Modem update. I suspect my profile on Skoda servers got corrupted. Once you start your car, quickly enter Guest profile, and if everything works fine, your primary profile is corrupted.

Hi, many thanks for the reply and suggestion. I found the fix to my particular issue however. Some more internet digging threw up my issue as a common problem and it was resolved by removing fuse No.19 from behind the glovebox and waiting a couple of minutes. This forced a hard reboot of the infotainment and SOS telemetrics and sorted the issue. It appears that the two systems sometimes lose connection with eachother and looks like the car can't download your profile from the servers.

I had this issue today for the first time, drove to the supermarket 10 mind away and was stuck on loading. After 30 mins of shopping when i went back to the car it went back to normal when i started the car. I did have that sos bug fault a few days ago which cleared so will keep an eye on this

I have now encountered this issue twice. It takes about one minute to load settings each time I start the car. I think the car tries to download user settings online, fails and there's eventually a timeout.

When this issue is active, nothing that requires internet works. For example, service campaign or user settings result in endless waiting loop. SOS button remains green, globe icon is white and sharing WiFi from phone doesn't help so I don't think it is a connection issue with OCU module. I asked my dad to try internet connection with his Skoda and it worked so it shouldn't be a big server issue either.

Nothing has helped when this issue appears. I have tried resetting the infotainment system and pulling the fuse 19. Both times the issue persisted for just couple hours and then disappears. For example, now I was driving home and suddenly everything started working just fine.

I don't really care about online services but it is annoying to wait for radio or Android Auto each time I start the car. I have owned the car for 5 months and the issue has appeared just twice. I hope it doesn't get worse.
