Monte Carlo headlights

Monte Carlo lights on an elegance...

I happen to much prefer the all black lights.

I figure they are a straight swap but wondering what is to be done with the main beam as I assume it's a shutter type from what I can see?

Is it plug and play and the stalk activates the shutter the same way it activats the main beam light on the elegance or is there some mod to be done in order for it to work?

Car in question is a 2012 Fabia elegance with projector style headlights already (but separate independent mainbeam)

It isn't a straight swap; otherwise, you will lose the fixed high beam (not the flash function). And yes, it is a shutter type, so you will need to do a proper retrofit with a relay and some wiring. (Also, here on Briskoda, I've read that some users who tested Fabias with chrome vs. black headlights claimed that the black ones are less bright due to the missing reflection from the chrome in the standard ones).
