Its the fuel economy that's getting to me and the cost of tyres too! Fulled it up yesterday and it cost me almost

whys it cost u nearly £60 quid !!! even if i drive mine aroung with the fuel light on for a while it still only costs me £45 - £48 ( dep on garage used ) to fill up and i still get min of 340 miles out of tank !!! and u didnt need cam belt done at 40k only due at 70k ( skoda say at 100k + ) what about LPG if fuel econ is only draw back ????

The revised recommendation from Skoda is now to have the Cam Belt changed every 4 years, so I decided to have it done. My boss had an A4 with the same engine and the Cam Belt went, cost him £1800 to have the engine fixed.

I run it on 97/98 octaine so its always around £50-55 to fill up from empty, cost me £60 at a BP garage the other day. I usually get around 280-290 miles to a tank, its not very fuel efficient sitting in traffic queues. Get over 300 when on long runs, but never when just commuting.

I'd would consider selling my T25 for around £6.5-7k, but my wife would divorce me!

I'm on my second vRS family car. If it's standard run it on 95 and drive a bit slower - having kids (and getting some points) will slow you right down. If you do change, make sure whatever you get next has plenty of boot - you just can't have enough with the nippers on board...

Keep the Octy! Dont get another loan whilst still paying for your old car , that what got me in the crapper , Id never ever reccomend anyone to do that , I should have kept my vRS , but because of a stupid unreliable evo (which I havent had since last june , but will be paying off until 2009) , Im stuck in a Fabia 1.4 mpi. You WILL miss the octy when its gone , and dont worry about using super unleaded , the normal stuff does fine , you only lose a few BHP and it doesnt hurt your motor one bit.

Alright! Im still missing my vRS! I have to admit liking my little Furby tho , even when its misbehaving , as she is just now!

I've decided she's definitely going when the tax runs out in 6 months................sad though

Lame excuse to keep it you can get a tax refund or use it as a "feature" to help you sell it.
