Columbus MIB2 CarPlay/Bluetooth/Satnav not working

Featured Replies

Hi folks

I have a 2015 Mk3 Octavia Scout with a Columbus infotainment system. Was working perfectly until last week when all of the functions apart from the Car menu and the radio stopped working. The Smartlink option now says that I need an activation key, the satnav says the navigation data is not valid and the Phone button just says Telephone not available.

I have attached photos of the firmware and software version. Some early Internet sleuthing suggests a firmware update might be the answer - is this something I can do myself?

Thank you, is that an easy fix or is this a main dealer visit?

Right, apologies to hijack your thread, but I've been having the same fault as you (no Bluetooth, Nav, android auto), and I've tried software updates, but no to avail.

It's been in the garage for some other age related bits, I got them to check the score with it, and they've just come back and said they're unable to communicate with the control unit. After getting my jaw off the floor having been quota £2500 minimum.

I've checked on VCDS and 5F infotainment is unavailable. Similar to the OP, is there anything we're able to do?
